By accessing and using Sound Effects Database (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

Description of Service

Sound Effects Database provides a digital platform for downloading sound effects, including both free and premium content. Our services include:

• Free sound effect downloads with optional daily/monthly limits
• Premium Track Packs for purchase
• VIP subscriptions for enhanced features
• User accounts and download tracking

User Accounts

Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

• Valid email address
• Secure password
• First and last name
• Username

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Usage Limits and Restrictions

Free Users

• Daily download limits as specified in your account
• Monthly download limits as specified in your account
• Subject to advertising unless upgraded to VIP

VIP Members

• Unlimited downloads during active subscription
• Ad-free experience
• Access to exclusive content
• Priority customer support

Payment Terms

Track Packs

Premium Track Packs are sold as one-time purchases. All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.

VIP Subscriptions

• Billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Prices may change with 30 days advance notice
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Due to the digital nature of our products, refunds are generally not provided once content has been downloaded.

Content Licensing

Free Sound Effects

Free sound effects are provided under the following license:

• Personal and commercial use permitted
• No attribution required (but appreciated)
• Cannot be resold or redistributed as standalone audio files
• Can be used in multimedia projects, films, games, etc.

Premium Track Packs

Premium content comes with enhanced licensing:

• Extended commercial use rights
• Broadcast and streaming rights included
• Use in revenue-generating projects permitted
• Detailed licensing documentation provided with purchase

Restrictions

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense sound effects
• Claim ownership of the original recordings
• Use sounds in defamatory, unlawful, or harmful content
• Share account credentials with others

Intellectual Property

All sound effects, website content, trademarks, and intellectual property remain the property of Sound Effects Database and/or our content creators. Your license to use content is limited to the terms specified above.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent download limits or access restrictions
• Use automated tools to download content in bulk
• Share account credentials with third parties
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to hack our systems

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice
• Update content libraries and features
• Implement maintenance windows as needed

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Limitation of Liability

Sound Effects Database shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Sound Effects Database is based.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of new terms.
